The Patriots can now show off the spoils of their improbable Super Bowl XLIX victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
Pats owner Robert Kraft presented players and coaches with their championship rings in a private ceremony at his Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts home on Sunday.
"Football is the consummate team sport. These championship rings represent all that the team endured and overcame together," Kraft said. "The players on this team will forever be bound by the memories this ring represents. The presentation of the rings is one of my favorite moments."
The top of the ring is highlighted by the Patriots' logo, which is outlined by 44 diamonds. The words "World Champions" flank each side. A field of 143 diamonds creates a spectacular sparkling effect, highlighting the four large Lombardi Trophies, cast with marquee-cut diamonds.
In 2003 and 2004, when the Patriots won back-to-back Super Bowls, the championship rings were adorned with 104 and 124 diamonds respectively. This year's championship ring, which is the largest Super Bowl ring ever made, features 205 diamonds. It is the highest appraised value of any of the four Patriots' rings and a priceless piece of jewelry to commemorate the many accomplishments of this championship team and a job well done.
